We thank Tasos and Vanilla Cafe & Lounge for the hospitality, Costas and Pavlos for the interview, Sakis, Lefteris and Sissy from patrisnews, Lambros for the video-spot of the vanilla cafe, Alkis from the Web Core for the web site, and of course Stathis and Panos for streaming! We thank all the friends and collaborators who share the music every day, as well as the anxiety to offer our audience something different.

Chris IDH – Interview on Vanilla Radio

CHRIS IDH - INTERVIEW

Chris IDH is today considered one of the most successful producers in Greece, he has gained respect from the international House scene and on the occasion of his visit to the Tower and the Vandal Project he answers some questions … so that we can get to know him better. .

Hello CHRISTO ! How did music and DJing come into your life?
When did you start your career and what were your motivations?

-Hello George ! The music in my life started from a young age with piano lessons and growing up came the music production studying music technology and sound recording and after all that DJing also emerged!
I have been playing music professionally since 2006, my first stimuli were house and with some rnb / smooth vocals.

In which category of dance music would you classify yourself? and what kind represents you?

-In my opinion, I can’t describe exactly one specific category because the songs now have many influences from many elements of electronic music. Right now I love electronica / downtempo with ethnic elements.

Tell us a little bit about how you feel when you’re behind decks? tell us about this feeling … the feeling !!

-It’s best when you see that the feeling you get by playing the music you like positively affects the world and dances to your rhythms!

Apart from DJ, you are also a producer and in fact very successful! Tell us a bit about the tracks you have released and the response they have from other DJs and fans!

-For the last releases I have made, I am glad that they have a response to the Greek djs but also to djs abroad. It also gives me a lot of joy to be asked to play my part.

A few words about your future plans, what is your relationship with social media, the internet and what is your opinion about Vanilla Radio!

-I am preparing an album to be released at Bercana Music with the new year I am currently working on!

Many thanks to Vanilla Radio and George for the interview and keep it “Silky Sexy Cool & Fresh House Music”

Dim Zach Interview στο Vanilla Radio + New Remix with Free Download

Dim Zach interview

For a year and a half now, every now and then, we enjoy (sweet) music surprises by Dim Zach.
He is the man who makes the diamonds of the 80s and 90s conquer the air play of the radios again through amazing edits.

Being an excellent musician himself, he has the criterion and the instinct to add the necessary touches to every piece that “matters” in order for it to re-fascinate us and to be offered for mixing by the djs.

Today we bring you exclusively the new REMIX along with a relaxed chat with it.

Hello Dim! .. Or to put it in Greek …. Hello Dimosthenis !

Who is Dim Zach and who is Dimos Zachariadis?

Good Evening. I think they are two different people. One is to serve the daily routine of a normal person and the other could be said to exist to fulfill the first person’s secret musical desires.

How did your journey in music begin?

What made me love music was a cassette that had masterpieces of the time. A little later I discovered the first synthesizers. Magical experience for a time when music came out with a lot of effort. I never imagined that one day I would write my own songs.

Apart from your participation in LIEBE lately, you have refreshed our ears with edits in old and adored songs.

I always wanted to create a band. A band with friends who will have the same love for music. I think I did it, but at a time when this profession is not so favorable. Regarding Edits, I think it’s a great way to learn the latest music from the past in fresh performances.

How do you get a piece to edit?

It is a completely random choice. Other times friends suggest me their favorite songs. There really is no particular criterion.

If we had to put a label on the kind of music you produce, would it be?

I do not know. I like a lot of music and I always try to find alternative methods both in terms of orchestration and in the final production. However, I show particular weakness in anything that has disco funk roots.

Tell us how you feel on stage as a performer and how in the studio as a creator?

The stage is always very difficult. Everything must be perfect. Mistakes, unfortunately, are what make the most impression. On the other hand, in the studio it’s like being in constant search of the best. The goal is to never feel like you have to shut down your computer and go to bed.

How would you describe the current situation in the music industry?

Unfortunately, there is no music industry. Once again, we are living in a time of sloppiness. Even in music there is anarchy. I believe that first serious social issues should be resolved and then we should deal with music. After all, there’s a huge legacy of songs from the past that most of us don’t even know about.

A few words about your future plans, what is your relationship with social media, the internet and what is your opinion about Vanilla Radio!

I will continue to work on music. My goal is to get to know young artists through it and of course music that will make me a better person. The internet is the ultimate way to promote your business. Of course, I think that with the wrong handling, you can achieve the opposite results. It needs a lot of attention and a lot of experience. I always try to use any internet promotion without tiring those who are watching me.

In closing, I would like to thank Vanilla Radio for the kind hospitality, saying that it is one of the few radios that broadcast music that satisfies even the most demanding. One of the few music radios we have left ..

DA MIKE * * Interview στο Vanilla Radio

DA MIKE - Interview

Da Mike (Michalis Balios) is considered one of the most talented DJs in the House music scene in Greece.
He joined Global Fantasy in 2012 and has already collaborated with some of the best House DJs and producers in the world.
Shortly before his appearance in Vandal in Pyrgos, he answers some questions … to get to know him better!

Hi Michael ! Tell us a few words about yourself first … you are and you are called … 🙂

Good evening, my name is Michalis Balios, I was born and live in Athens, I am a member of Global Fantasy, which is also based in Athens, and I am professionally involved in Djing and music production.

How did music and DJing come into your life, when did you start your career and what were your motivations?

From a young age I started playing music and Djing, it was the natural evolution of things. As a professional DJ, I have been in the field for the last 5 years as I count a total of just over 10!

I have a particular weakness for Funk, Soul, Jazz and Ethnic listening.

All of these items have contributed to the sound I represent today!

In which category of dance music would you classify yourself? and what kind represents you?

My music is House my sound Afro, Deep.

Tell us a little bit about how you feel when you’re behind decks? tell us about this feeling … the feeling !!

Whatever concerns me does not enter the booth with me, there I am, the music and the people in the space to listen to me! It’s something that fills me, gives me the opportunity to channel my energy into the audience and I wouldn’t change it with anything !!

A few words about your future plans, what is your relationship with social media, the internet and what is your opinion about Vanilla Radio!

I am in a creative phase and I have already signed two music productions, which are expected to be released in the new year. I have accounts on almost all social media, it is one of the advantages of our time as anyone can easily promote their work.

Finally, I wish Vanilla Radio to do the same good and quality work, to support good music and to give a step to all professional artists.

Da Mike

CJ JEFF * Interview to Vanilla Radio

CJ JEFF - INTERVIEW

CJ JEFF, Nikos Zafeiris comes from Veria and has studied Sociology at Panteion but has never been involved in it professionally, in fact he is not involved in anything other than music.
He doesn’t like hurried and rough moves, and he believes that everything is gained gradually and those who make serious and measured moves step by step in the end are justified!

Just before his appearance at VANDAL in Pyrgos, CJ JEFF answers some of our questions… so we can get to know him a little better!

Hey Nick!
How did music and DJing come into your life?
When did you start your career and what were your motivations? and where did your nick name come from?

Hmmm, I’m not good at dating … it must be about 15 years ago when I started playing music, although I always remember myself being “addicted” to music. The nick name existed as JEFF and just in the process was CJ added?)

In which category of dance music would you classify yourself? and what kind represents you?

I think that especially today it is a bit inappropriate to talk about labels … it is better for people to come and hear you about all the sounds you present.
But tech House would definitely be a category you could join me in!

Tell us a little bit about how you feel when you’re behind decks? tell us about this feeling … the feeling !!

I feel like I’m in my natural environment, comfortable but also with enough stress!
I think I will never get over that for as many “flight” hours as I have …

Apart from DJ, you are also a producer and in fact very successful! Tell us a bit about the tracks you have released and the response they have from other DJs and fans!

It’s something completely different and definitely just as exciting, there’s always a bet if you’ll be able to tell and convey to the listener, in the dancefloor, how you feel when you write that particular piece.
When you do, it’s a really scary feeling.

You have ‘played’ in many stores in Greece and abroad, tell us a little about the differences in relation to Greece!

Many differences and many commonalities, I generally believe that every night and every audience is something special and that’s how I deal with them.

A few words about your future plans, what is your relationship with social media, the internet and what is your opinion about Vanilla Radio!

Travel, music, reading … these are my plans,
as for Vanilla Radio … you are the pleasant surprise, keep up the great work you are doing … Full Support from me!

LIVA-K * Interview on Vanilla Radio

LIVA K - INTERVIEW

Liva K (Livathinos Konstantinos) is considered one of the most talented DJs and producers of his generation. At just 22 years old, Beatport ranks him as the # 10 Best Nu-Disco Producer in the World for 2016.

Many of his songs have been released on various major record labels such as BunnyTiger, No Definition, LouLou Records, and it is not uncommon for great artists such as Carl Cox, Robin Schulz, Sharam Jey, Kolombo, Lost Frequencies, etc. to support his productions and play the pieces in their various appearances.

In 2015 he signed his official remix of Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’ with Universal Music, while a little later the official remix was released on the No. 1 hit ‘Lost On You’ by Lp with Cobalt Music.

LIVA K shortly before his appearance at VANDAL in Pyrgos answers some of our questions … so that we can get to know him a little better!

Hi Kostas ! How did music and DJing come into your life?
As long as I can remember, I’ve been listening to music everywhere. In a cd on the walkman then, on the radio and I always liked to deal with it. DJing started a little later when I was growing up and I tried it and saw that it was really what I liked to do.

When did you start your career and what were and are your stimuli? In which category of dance music would you classify yourself? and what kind represents you?
I listen to house music more, I love nu disco because I like melodies and disco elements in music. I also like tech house music is more groovy more danceable for a night shop.

Tell us a little bit about how you feel when you’re behind decks? tell us about this feeling … the feeling !!
The most beautiful feeling really. Be back there and try to make the whole world have a good time, drink, dance.

Apart from DJ, you are also a producer and in fact very successful! Tell us a bit about the tracks you have released and the response they have from other DJs and fans!
I started production 3 years ago. It was just a “need” to give some pieces my own character or even original productions with my own elements. In a short time I have seen many artists such as Carl Cox, Robin Schulz, Lost Frequencies, but also well-known Greek DJs playing my own songs. It’s really a recognition and a terrible feeling to see that what you do has a response

You have ‘played’ in many stores abroad, tell us a little about the differences in relation to Greece! Tell us about your experience this year from Mykonos!

The main difference you can easily see is the need for people abroad to have a good time. They don’t have their face behind a cell phone screen, they drink and dance because they just want to have a good time. This is exactly how it is in Mykonos as the island is full of tourists. Unfortunately in Greece it is more difficult for the public to dance to electronic music, whatever genre it has, and it is purely a matter of culture and mentality.

A few words about your future plans, what is your relationship with social media, the internet and what is your opinion about Vanilla Radio!
Now that the summer season is over, I will start some parties in Greece, Cyprus and abroad and in my free time I will prepare new tracks for release. I forward all the news from my fb page, and all my pieces to the soundcloud. It’s easy for people who want to keep in touch with you easily.

Vanilla radio is really my first choice when I sit at home and I want to relax, open the pc and listen to something else, something different, depending on the mood I also choose the Deep or Smooth channel. It is one of the few radios in Greece that supports Greek producers, and promotes electronic music in the best way.

Costa, thank you very much and we only wish you success!
